About Us - Acknowledgements

This curriculum has been developed by the Western Reserve Geriatric Education Center as a way to address vital concerns associated with health care for older adults. Funding for the introductory module as well as modules I through IV was provided by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) Bureau of Health Professions grant HP70113.

The writing team would like to acknowledge Rev. Sala W.J. Nolan, Minister for Human Rights, United Church of Christ National Office for planning and editorial oversight of the introductory and module I material. In addition, the team would like to acknowledge the contributions of Stefanie Scroth, who provided research and editing of module III.

The end-of-life modules V and VI were developed by the Western Reserve Geriatric Education Center and the MetroHealth Foundation through a grant from the Aetna Foundation titled "How People Should Be Treated: A Method to Deepen the Capacity of Health Care Professionals to Deliver Culturally Competent End-of-Life Care for a Diverse and Underserved Population".
